Chili Crabs.

Chili Crabs….!

My dad went home last night with crabs and shrimps for everyone to enjoy for dinner. With boiled fresh crabs and shrimps, dinner was a sure hit. Everyone did love the sweetness the crab meat has to offer. But even with friends over to have dinner with us, there were still ample amounts of leftovers.

So a little before lunch time today, I was thinking of a menu to enjoy the crab leftovers. I remembered Chili Crabs.

Here’s how I cooked the sauce:


1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp fish sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, sliced thinly
1-2 tbsp butter
cornstarch to thicken sauce
sugar to sweeten (optional)


1. Mix all ingredients together, except cornstarch. Stir and simmer.
2. Add cornstarch to thicken.
3. If you want it sweeter, add sugar.
4. Simmer.
5. Add crabs and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve and Enjoy!
